If you were not in East Point, GA at The B Complex 1272 Murphy Ave on May 18th for the Jack of All Trades event you missed a movie. Over 800 people were in attendance to drink bottomless Jack Daniels in all flavors, enjoy the sounds of the DJs, tunes of the music artists, admire the artwork and eat the delicious food catered by none other than The Seasoning Bottle.
When you first enter the gate outside of the building all you saw were people in line! There was nothing but a long line of people waiting to get inside to see what was the hottest event of spring was talking about. The line moved really fast and the operation to get let in ran very smooth which is critical for inside/outdoor door events. A huge plus!Once you entered into the building the first thing you saw was artwork. Not just any artwork. Dope African American artwork that was hanging all around the foyer area. I am one of those “I like art” type girls so the foyer alone was giving me life from all of the artwork hanging around. Then once you walked down the ramp all you saw was an open warehouse space filled with people. It was packed! A beautiful site to see. There were a few bar stations with Jack Daniels liquor of course with a plethora of chasers. There was even more art hanging around in the venue. One of the best parts of the event was that there was a Stella Artois experience booth. At the booth they were giving away free Stella glasses! You read that correctly FREE glasses filled with Stella Beer. Stella is one of my favorite beers so I was loving the fact that it was alive and present at the Jack Daniels Event.Once my girls and I got our drinks we had to get a photo op in front of the Jack of All Trades sign. The sign was truly Instagram worthy all by itself, which is crucial for events to have a area in the venue that is completely dedicated to Instagram. There was a even a swing too!
Jack Honey and Pineapple Juice me, please!
The alcohol was flowing and the drinks were kicking in, so it was perfect that the Seasoning Bottle was there to have light bites for the crowd. I was so excited to try some of her food because I have heard nothing but positive things about her catering and private chef events. You know that I am The Food Snob so my expectations were high. She knocked it out of the park! Everything from her set up, to the food was perfect. She had chicken and sweet potato tacos on the menu. When I tell you that those were some the best tacos I ever had. Those were some of the best tacos I ever had! #NoCap (Follow @SeasoningBottle on Instagram)One of the best parts of the whole event in my opinion was the music. The music was a great piece for conversation starters and to get people dancing and moving around. The music was great! The artists were truly dope! Each one carrying a different flavor and sound which made it entertaining to not only hear but watch them perform. The DJs were awesome! DJ KThreat and DJ Abe really did the damn thing! I had so much fun watching everyone perform. All in all, this was one of the dopest events that I have attended in a long time. I know I keep saying the word dope but that is the best way to truly describe the event. The music, art, decor, liquor, and food was on point. If you weren’t in attendance, I really hate that you missed it because it was truly a movie.
